Nutritional Support
Each week we feed 15 families with our Hattie Bag orders from 4 local grocery store chains. Each bag contains food to prepare 5 meals and 7 days worth of healthy snacks, that are both heart and diabetes friendly. Nutritional counseling and cooking classes are provided as well, all free of charge.

Clothing and Hygiene
2020- In communities that do not have running water or indoor plumbing we provided 300 cases of bottled water, 250 personal care bags including feminine products and dental care equipment, 30 sets of clothing for each group- women, men and children 5-10 years of age.

Vaccination Coverage
2021-We have provided funds to cover more than 500 needed vaccines in 5 states, not limited to the COVID-19 vaccine. We cover back to school immunizations, emergency vaccines like tetanus, and vaccinations for other situations in order to boost immunity.

Links to Healthcare
Our networking efforts and partnerships with local health centers have allowed us to foster access for those who were previously unable to receive regular care for chronic illnesses. We assist those in Fayette, Henry, Butts, Spalding, Newton and Clayton counties. With our referral, initial visit fees are almost always covered in full.

Education empowerment

In 2020 approximately 648,638 Floridians had less than a 9th grade education. Dropout rates for first-year college students is 30% in America. While several determinants influence the reasons behind these statistics, HELP FROM HATTIE INC. addressed two main factors- education itself and financial hardship. Addressing these two factors allow a student the space to focus solely on education.
Each year our non-profit organization provides 5 students with scholarships toward tuition and additional educational materials grants. The only requirements we have is that a student is enrolled full-time, provides a letter of desire for their chosen degree, and pledges to continue in their studies. Our awardees of the last scholarships were attending community college and happily remain in their courses this year.
Last year 56% of students in attending college said they may not return because college costs were too high. These additional funds made the difference in the lives of 5 families and we hope to extend this service to many more with the help of our Donors.
The educational support services assist with tutoring, assignment and reseach help, resume building, interviewing skills, at the students finger tips. HELP FROM HATTIE INC. also provides vocational skill assistance to help individuals feel empowered and prepared to rejoin the work force after the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
All services are available to anyone in need despite age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, race, and/or marital status . All information is kept confidential.
